PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said that a police cruiser was struck by another vehicle early Saturday.

The crash occurred around 6:15 a.m. on Chalkstone Avenue and Mount Pleasant Avenue.

The department said the cruiser sustained “moderate damage,” and there were no injuries, although the officer in the vehicle was evaluated at the hospital.
