Rock Bridge crowned two state champions at the MSHAA Class 3 State Tennis Tournament. Kate Kimes and Rebecca Stamose teamed up in the doubles tournament, winning the finals over Jun Ross and Mayumi Ross of John Burroughs 2-0. The two won both matches by scores of 6-2 and 6-1.
It's the duo's second consecutive state title after winning in 2024.
Kimes and Stamose defeated Peyton Kuechler and Sophia Garnder of St. Teresa’s Academy in the sectionals round 2-0 on Thursday. This was followed up with a 2-0 win against Kaylie Rustici and Alexis Thompson of Lee’s Summit.
