Further details have been released regarding the deadly crane collapse that occurred on Friday, outlining some explanation of what led to the incident which killed two subcontractors.

The investigation, which is being led by Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and the Everett Police Department, is ongoing. Divers were on site Saturday morning, digging through the wreckage at the marine terminal, WCVB reported.

Two workers, who have not been identified, were killed when the crane collapsed at a construction site on the docks of the former Exxon terminal on the Mystic River, located at 201 Rover Street.

The area is close to the Encore Casino and the site of a proposed professional soccer stadium that is being prepared for redevelopment, the media outlet reported.
