In August, Windsor High School junior Avery Smiley verbally committed to play for the University of Northern Colorado’s highly success women’s volleyball program.
A month later, her older brother, Windsor senior Madden Smiley, committed to play men’s basketball for the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
Oh, yeah. Madden’s and Avery’s parents — Steve and Nikki — are also former collegiate athletes, and Steve is the current men’s basketball coach at the University of Northern Colorado.
