The Sons of the American Revolution's (SAR) Mahoning Valley Chapter held a Saturday ceremony honoring veterans of the Revolutionary War with their first-ever grave marking in Columbiana County.
"The heroes, they put everything on the line. When they went into this, they really didn't have much of a chance," said Steve Barlow, Mahoning Valley Chapter president.
The event took place at Long's Run Trinity Presbyterian Church in East Liverpool and spent the afternoon honoring five patriots of the Revolutionary War, along with some of their ancestors.
