I've spent a good amount of time in the air in the past few weeks traveling to and from Norway, then out to Las Vegas and back. I'm finally coming back to Earth after bouts of jet lag and cultural whiplash. One of favorite sights was watching the northern lights out the window as we flew over Canada and near Iceland. I found it best to take the courtesy blanket and drape it over head to block out all interior lights. I must have looked silly, but who cares? You'll also get good pictures with your smartphone this way.
