HOUSTON – Texans rookie cornerback Jaylin Smith was activated after being designated for return from injured reserve and practicing all week.
He has made a full recovery from a hamstring injury.
Smith is a third-round draft pick from USC who operates as the Texans’ third corner.

Smith was a third-team All-Big Ten Conference selection, recording 49 tackles, four for losses and two pass deflections.
Wide receiver Jared Wayne was elevated to the active roster from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
