Alaska Airlines was working Oct. 24 to recover from a computer problem that led to hundreds of flight cancellations and continued disruptions.
More than 360 Alaska and Horizon Air flights have been cancelled after a "significant IT outage" at the airline's central data facility forced a systemwide ground stop on Oct. 23, Alaska Airlines said in an Oct. 24 X post .
The ground stop was lifted at 11:30 p.m. PT on Oct. 23, but more "flight disruptions are likely as we reposition aircraft and crews throughout our network," the airline said in the Oct. 24 update.
Hawaiian Airlines flights are not affected by the computer disruption, said Alaska Airlines, which acquired Hawaiian in 2024.
