Gov. Larry Rhoden plans to propose during the upcoming 2026 Legislative Session loaning millions of dollars to airports in South Dakota's two largest cities.
Rhoden made the announcement Oct. 24 at the Sioux Falls Regional Airport alongside a host of Sioux Falls and Rapid City lawmakers.
The governor's bill would provide loans of up to $15 million at 0% interest for both the Sioux Falls Regional Airport and Rapid City Regional Airport, with a 20-year repayment period, Rhoden said.
