After missing three field goals last week against Missouri, Auburn football’s Alex McPherson came to Arkansas with perfection on his mind.

The Tigers starting kicker drilled all six of his field goals in Saturday’s 33-24 victory over Arkansas, tying an Auburn school record with Daniel Carlson (2016) and Al Del Greco (1982).

“Last week it was disappointing for me because I always want to go out there and perform for my guys and give them the edge that we need,” McPherson said postgame. “I didn’t get that done last week, and so it was disappointing for me. I just let [Hugh Freeze] know that I’m going to have his back and he just gave me the opportunity this week.”
