West Springfield field hockey wins 1st WMass title since 2001 after taking down Franklin Tech

WEST SPRINGFIELD — The West Springfield field hockey team went 0-17 last year, and found themselves nowhere near making the Western Mass. tournament.

Fast forward to this fall, and the Terriers smiled and gathered next to each other Saturday as they celebrated the program’s first Western Mass. championship since 2001.
