IOWA CITY, Iowa —

The Iowa-Minnesota football rivalry dates back to 1891, when the Golden Gophers beat the Hawkeyes in Iowa City, 42-4.

Minnesota won the first 12 rivalry games and leads the all-time series, 62-53-2. But Iowa has won 20 of the 27 games since Kirk Ferentz took over, including 10 of the last 11.
