AMES, Iowa – For the first time in program history, the BYU Cougars are 8-0 in consecutive seasons after topping Iowa State 41-27 on the road.

No. 11 BYU did it the hard way, falling behind by 14 points in the first half before putting the pedal down in the second half to remain undefeated and retain its place atop the Big 12 standings.

BYU trailed 24-10 late in the second quarter before a two-minute drive ended with Bear Bachmeier finding Parker Kingston for a touchdown with 25 seconds left in the half.

It was all BYU in the second half with Bachmeier and the defense making a series of big plays to earn the victory.
