ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
On Saturday, residents of Albuquerque came together to participate in the Central New Mexico Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
The event, which took place at Mariposa Basin Park, had over 700 people in attendance.
Our KOAT Sports Anchor and Reporter, Ruby Arora, was there as the host of today's fundraising event. One couple taking part in the event for the third year in a row explained what it means to people who are living or know someone who is living with Alzheimer's.
"We are strong supporters of it", Michelle Coon says. "I carry the yellow flower, and my husband, Bill is actually someone living with Alzheimer's."
