INDIANAPOLIS — Pink lettering adorned a small casket. Pink tulle wrapped itself around the marble sides. Pink flowers fell into the baby girl’s precious resting place.

The baby Doe was laid to rest after she was found abandoned at Brookside Park on the near east side of Indianapolis last month. Unnamed for more than 50 days, she’s now known as baby Haven Grace Hope.

He Knows Your Name Ministry hosted a funeral service and burial for Haven Saturday afternoon. The ministry works to honor deceased children. Haven is the 61st baby they’ve named and claimed since getting started in 2009.

”I believe that we can do better," founder Linda Znachko said. "We must do better."
