With their leading scorers held off the scoreboard for the second night in a row, the Kingston Frontenacs lost to the Niagara IceDogs 4-1 at the Meridian Centre in St Catharines on Saturday night.

The Frontenacs come back to Kingston pointless for the weekend, having lost 6-3 to the Storm in Guelph Friday night.

Niagara took a lead three minutes into the first period on a goal by Reyth Smith, stuff the puck from close quarters past Kingston netminder Matt Minchak.

Centre Riley Patterson extended the lead for the home team early in the second period—the 19-year-old Vancouver draftee intercepted a pass by Kingston rookie blueliner Matthew Henderson and then blew by the 16-year-old defenceman to go in alone on Minchak.
