WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Aviation is taking off across the Triad, with major projects, training programs, and community events preparing the next generation of workers.
With HondaJet, Boom Supersonic, and JetZero setting up shop in the region, thousands of new aviation jobs are on the horizon. JetZero’s first U.S. factory in Greensboro is expected to bring more than 14,500 jobs, while Boom Supersonic’s Overture Superfactory will add another 2,400.
And the growth isn’t stopping there — Guilford Technical Community College recently broke ground on a new $34 million aviation campus near Piedmont Triad International Airport. The facility is set to open in 2027 and will train more than 700 students each year.
That kind of opportunity is fueling community efforts to inspire future aviators.
