The kumbaya moment of the Michigan Legislature celebrating a new state budget has apparently ended, as House Speaker Matt Hall , R-Richland Township, blasted Senate Democrats last week and suggested he might be cutting off consideration of Senate bills.

On Tuesday, the Democratic-controlled Senate approved a proposal, sponsored by Senate Appropriations Chairwoman Sarah Anthony , D-Lansing, to require the House and Senate to publicly post information about earmarks requested by lawmakers in the budget 10 days before a spending bill is passed by the chambers.
