Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said he was ‘very, very sad’ to hear about the Indore molestation case of two Australian women cricketers who are here for the 2025 World Cup. He said it was a ‘heinous incident’, hoping that the perpetrator was ‘punished severely’ with significant prison time.

Two Australian women cricketers were followed and one molested by a man in the capital of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday morning. The incident occurred near Khajrana Road when the players were walking to a café from their hotel. One of them was allegedly touched inappropriately before the man fled on his motorcycle.
