Just weeks before the Bihar Assembly elections, the Janata Dal (United) late on Saturday, October 25, expelled 11 senior leaders, including a former minister and several former legislators, for alleged anti-party activities and “defying its ideology”.

In an official statement posted on social media platform X, the JD(U) said, “The following members are hereby expelled from the party's primary membership and suspended due to their involvement in party-anti conduct and activities in the Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections 2025. This order shall take effect immediately.”
