STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — It’s going to be a bumpy weather week as New York City prepares for Halloween.
Sunday kicks off the week with sun and fall-like temperatures topping out at 60 degrees, marking a perfectly good day for football and pumpkin patches.
The beginning of the workweek is “going to be cool, but not outrageously cold,” according to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Bob Larson. Expect “a noticeable breeze” on Monday, with the sun peeking through clouds.
Come Tuesday, the wind will pick up a bit as it moves in off the ocean. Larson anticipates the potential for a bit of drizzle as the clouds thicken up throughout the day, though not likely. The sun will be out for a little while as well, temperatures reaching 56 degrees, before things get drearier.
