INDIANAPOLIS — Shots were fired in a Kroger parking lot on the east side of Indianapolis Sunday afternoon.
Public emergency reporting systems indicate officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the Kroger located at 4445 E. 10th St. around 12:52 p.m. to look into a report of shots fired.
FOX59/CBS4 sent a crew to the scene of the shooting. When that crew arrived, it found police putting crime scene tape up around the Kroger's parking lot.
A public police report indicates investigators recovered 14 shell casings at the scene. One of the Kroger store's windows also sustained approximately $1,000 in damage during the incident, according to IMPD's report.
