JAMMU, Oct 26: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kathua district have registered a case against a group of Christian Missionaries for allegedly outraging the religious feelings of the Hindu community.

Sources said the case FIR number 198/2025 under sections 299 (deliberate or malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation or coercion) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered after protests in Kathua town, where the agitators claimed the Missionaries allegedly disrespected the religious figures and literature of the Hindu community in an attempt to convert people by offering them good health, prosperity, and employment in Juthana and other areas of the district.
