CORDOVA, Tenn. - A woman was shot and killed overnight in Cordova, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office said.

A warrant was issued for 33-year-old Marcus Dotson for first-degree murder, using a weapon in the commission of a dangerous felony, and convicted felon in possession of a weapon.

According to SCSO, detectives identified the woman as 32-year-old Yesica Juarez.

Deputies responded to the shooting in the 6900 block of Manslick Road just before 3 a.m.

According to SCSO, deputies found the woman on the floor inside the home. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

SCSO said the preliminary investigation indicated it was domestic related. The investigation is ongoing.
