Boston is in for some slightly cooler-than-normal temperatures heading into Halloween week, according to National Weather Service forecasts, with uncertainty around the chance for rainy weather on the holiday.
“It’s too soon to say whether the trick-or-treating hours will be a washout or not, and folks will just want to stay on top of the forecast heading into this week,” said NWS meteorologist Torry Dooley. “But as a first look, there is the potential for rain on Halloween.”
Halloween, occurring on Friday this year, is likely to see a high in the upper 50s and a low dipping into the mid-40s during the night. Beyond that though, Dooley said, predicting the conditions for trick-or-treaters gets a bit tricky.
