Jack Lisowski dedicated his Northern Ireland Open triumph to his parents after securing a maiden ranking title.
The English snooker star beat Judd Trump 9-8 in Sunday's final at Waterfront Hall in Belfast.
His victory comes just seven months after his father's passing, with Lisowski breaking down in tears following his win.
The match had been suspended during the opening frame after a spectator was taken ill inside the arena.
Once it resumed, though, the pair traded frames before Lisowski came out on top to end his 15-year wait for a professional title.
It also ended a run of six successive defeats in ranking finals, with the last three all coming against Trump.
