CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - UPDATE: Joshua Criner was found dead, according to Virginia State Police. The cause of death has not been released.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is in search of Joshua Criner, who was last reported seen in Galax Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Criner is described as a white man, 5′10″ and 170 pounds. He also has browns eyes and a shaved head, according to the sheriff’s office.

Criner was last reported seen at Meltons Run Apartments in Galax.

The sheriff’s office asks if anybody has information on Joshua’s location to contact the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office at 276-728-4146.
