PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Peoria firefighters are treating an overnight fire as an arson.

The fire department was called just before 12:15 a.m. to a home in the 2900 block of North University Avenue.

An arson investigator and K-9 Rock were called to the scene.

The cause of the fire is still being determined, but it’s currently being treated as intentional.

The police department has one person in custody.

No one was injured. Damage is estimated at $50,000.
