OXFORD, Miss. (WMC) - Federal court documents filed in the U.S. District Court Northern District of Mississippi against a former youth pastor and assistant girls’ basketball coach at DeSoto Central High School, have been unsealed.

Lindsey Whiteside was federally indicted on October 23 for transporting a minor across state lines for sexual purposes.

The court documents unsealed reveals details on those charges including:

Count 1 & 2: Transporting minor for sexual purposes

Count 3: Coercion & enticement of a minor

The documents say on or about July 1, 2024, through on or about July 31, 2024, Whiteside knowingly took a minor from Tennessee to Mississippi to “engage in sexual activity.” Court documents also say between May 14, 2024 and November 5, 2025, Whiteside persuaded or coerced
