A wild street takeover in Southern California ended with a car erupting in flames over the weekend.

Video showed a large crowd gathered to watch several vehicles doing burnouts near Lakewood Boulevard and Del Amo Boulevard in Lakewood on Saturday night.

At one point, a white vehicle was in the middle of performing stunts when it burst into flames.

The crowd gasped and rushed toward the car, recording the incident on their cellphones despite the vehicle being engulfed in flames and smoke.

Los Angeles County Fire Department crews responded to the scene.

The conditions of the driver and the passenger seen in the video were not immediately known.
