A major airline which flies to six UK airports and carries around 1.3 million passengers every year is on the brink of collapse. Eastern Airways has reportedly filed a notice to appoint administrators, the Sun said. This document is what signifies a company is about to enter administration.
This legal form ensures creditors cannot take legal action against the business for 10 days.
The airline has been operating since 1997, and flies to and from a number of airports, including London Gatwick, Aberdeen and Humberside.
