Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, on October 27, said that the revision of electoral rolls in Assam will be announced separately.

He informed that Phase 2 of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls will be conducted in 12 States and Union Territories, including West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. The 12 States and UTs where the Special Intensive Revision will begin from tomorrow are Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Goa, Puducherry, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Lakshadweep.
