The Damned have announced a covers album, Not Like Everybody Else , arriving January 23rd. The lead single and opening track “There’s a Ghost in My House” by R. Dean Taylor drops on Thursday.
The album pays tribute to the memory of The Damned’s late founding guitarist Brian James, who penned many of the band’s early songs. James passed away earlier this year at the age of 70.
It’s an illustration of a young James that adorns the sleeve for the new covers album. The flower-power aesthetic of the cover is also indicative of the song selections, with The Damned dipping into a collection of largely ’60s garage/psych tunes. Related Video
