TOLEDO, Ohio — A teen was taken into custody and two officers sustained minor injuries following a pursuit Saturday morning, according to a Toledo police report.

Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Norwood Avenue at approximately 9 am. regarding a domestic violence incident involving a 15-year-old suspect who was allegedly armed.

Police arrived on scene and the suspect fled on foot. Officers then followed the suspect in their vehicle, but struck an "elevated storm drain" as they entered an alleyway from the street, according to the report.

This crash resulted in serious damage to the vehicle, disabling it. The officers suffered minor injuries in the crash. Both were treated on the scene by Toledo Fire and Rescue. No other injuries were mentioned in the report.
