Student hit while crossing the street at Elizabeth Middle School

DENVER (KDVR) — A student was hit while they were crossing the street at an intersection near two schools in Elizabeth on Monday morning.

Elizabeth Schools reported on social media just before 8:30 a.m. that an Elizabeth Middle School student was hit by a vehicle while crossing the intersection between the middle school and Elizabeth High School

The school district said the student was being treated by the Elizabeth Fire Rescue and is now being cared for at a local hospital. The district is in contact with their parents.

The district told FOX31 there was also an unrelated bus accident that occurred at the entrance of the middle school, but the district said the crash was "minor" and there were no students on the bus.
