ST. CHARLES PARISH, La. — The St. Charles Parish Council has approved construction of the long-awaited Des Allemands boat launch, a project that will include two launch bays, nearly 100 parking spaces, pavilions, restrooms, and 200 feet of dock space.
“This past Monday, the Saint Charles Parish Council approved the low bid for us to move forward with building what I think is going to be a world-class boat launch right here in Des Allemands for our residents,” said St Charles Parish President Matthew Jewell.
According to the parish announcement, construction is scheduled to begin in January 2026 and is expected to take about a year to complete.
The project aims to provide expanded public access to local waterways and accommodate increased recreational use in the Des Allemands area.
