BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - The appointment of the new Deputy County Executive for Physical Services has been announced by Broome County Executive Jason Garner.

On October 27th, the appointment of Hal McCabe as the new Deputy County Executive for Physical Services has been announced. McCabe served as the Mayor of the Village of Homer for 8 years.

As Mayor, McCabe managed the operations of multiple departments and secured over $15 million in both state and federal grants. This includes $1 million in Restore NY funding and a 10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative award during his tenure.

Broome County Executive Jason Garner appointed McCabe. Garner shares that McCabe has a proven track record with the complex operations.
