Dhaka on Monday strongly denied a media report claiming that Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus had presented a map showing India’s northeastern region as part of Bangladesh’s flag to a Pakistani military official.

In a statement, the Bangladesh government called the report “completely false and fabricated." It clarified that Yunus had actually gifted Pakistan’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, a publication titled ‘ The Art of Triumph ‘.

The compilation features colourful graffiti painted by students across Dhaka and other parts of the country during the July uprising.
