A man and a woman have been arrested in the shooting death of a man in Long Beach's Belmont Shore area, part of recent violence that the city's mayor decried as "growing disorder."

Officers responded to the shooting call at about 1:40 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of La Verne Avenue located a man dead at the scene. The preliminary investigation indicated a group of people were involved in an altercation outside a nearby bar.
