Duran Duran have shared a brand new version of “Shadows on Your Side,” a cut from their Platinum-certified 1983 album Seven and the Ragged Tiger . Listen to the re-recording, which keyboardist Nick Rhodes said was inspired by “the madness and joy of Halloween,” below.
Featuring a new sonic direction and original guitar parts from Andy Taylor, the new rendition of “Shadows on Your Side” puts a modern, Halloween-y spin on the original recording. After settling into a house-esque dance groove with thumping rhythms and auto-tuned vocals, the song takes a spooky detour into a soundscape of swirling ambiance and insidious synth pads. Ultimately, the band brings the party back around, re-establishing the dance groove for the back end of the track.
