A regional airline which operated flights from Aberdeen Airport has suspended its operations with the company on the brink of collapse.

Passengers are being warned not to travel to the airport if they are booked on Eastern Airways flights as they will be cancelled, with the airline urging passengers to make alternative arrangements.

All flights from Aberdeen were cancelled on Monday, October 27, including flights to Wick, Humberside and Teesside airports.

Following the suspension of Eastern Airways operations, LNER , ScotRail , TransPennine Express, and Northern Railway are offering free standard class travel to the airline's staff and customers on Tuesday and Wednesday (October 28 and 29), on suitable routes operated by each train company.
