BENNINGTON — A former masseur at the prestigious Equinox Resort and Spa in Manchester pleaded guilty Monday as part of a plea deal with prosecutors to two counts related to two separate sexual assaults of female guests during massages at the resort in the fall of 2023.
Mohamed Magdy, 57, pleaded guilty to one count of felony lewd and lascivious conduct and one count of misdemeanor prohibited conduct at the Bennington courthouse on Monday morning. In exchange for his guilty plea on both charges, the state agreed to drop a felony sexual assault charge and amended the second charge of prohibited conduct to a misdemeanor.
Magdy, an Egyptian National who was granted political asylum in the United States in 2023, was sentenced by Judge John Valente to three to five years on the lewd charge and
