File Video: Suspect arrested following shootings at South Carolina State University
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WSPA) - State law enforcement officials are searching for a person of interest in connection to a pair of shootings which left one person dead at South Carolina State University earlier this month.
On October 4, the university was placed on lockdown following a pair of shootings at a homecoming celebration on campus. Jaliyah Butler, 19, was killed in one of the shootings, and another person was seriously injured.
On Tuesday the State Law Enforcement Division said as part of the continued investigation into the shooting, investigators are looking to speak with a person of interest in connection to the shootings. SLED released a security camera photo of the man they are searching for.
