SALT LAKE CITY, Utah β The Utah Utes seem to be in good hands at the quarterback position after true freshman Byrd Ficklin earned two Big 12 weekly awards in his first career start.
The Oklahoma native was named Big 12 Co-Offensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week after taking over for injured starter Devon Dampier and leading Utah to a 53-7 victory over the helpless Colorado Buffaloes.
