EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Volleyball is a sport of quick adjustments. Every bump, set and spike changes the math on where you need to be and how quickly you need to get there.

Over the last 10 weeks, adjusting quickly has been just as important off the court as on for MSU freshman Bianca Mumcular, a native of Istanbul, Turkey who arrived in East Lansing just two days before the Spartans' season-opening exhibition against Eastern Michigan.

"It was easy to adjust thanks to the people around me," said Mumcular. "Thanks to my teammates and the whole support staff. I couldn’t have done it without them this quickly but yeah it did take me about a week and a half to completely adjust to the lifestyle, new friends, new staff, new daily schedule along with everything."
