SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A man alleged to have been driving under the influence fatally struck a pedestrian Sunday in San Francisco and fled the scene, authorities said. On Monday, the San Francisco Police Department announced that the suspect, identified as Hai Van Le, 47, of San Francisco, had been found and arrested.
Le was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for gross vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence causing injury, felony hit and run and elder abuse.
Le's arrest comes after police responded at 6:44 p.m. to the 1800 block of Ocean Avenue on the report of a hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian.
