ROCHESTER, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) -- The Kaitlyn Conley trial will return to court next year, according to a decision by the New York State Appellate Division in Rochester.

First reported by the Daily Sentinel on Monday, October 27, the New York State Appellate Division in Rochester will hear the first of three appeal attempts by Oneida County District Attorney Todd Carville on Monday, April 6 regarding the case.

Conley was accused of murdering Dr. Mary Yoder by poisoning her in 2017. Conley served approximately seven years in prison before her defense attorney won an appeal in January of this year to get the conviction dismissed due to mishandled evidence. The ruling also said that Carville's office could send the case back to a grand jury for new charges.
