Federal shutdown hits Nevada National Guard members' pay

Many Nevada National Guard members are not getting paid during the federal shutdown.

Some are working without pay, some are furloughed without pay. The Army and Air monthly training drills were not held in October, causing thousands to miss a monthly paycheck.

“This will impact readiness with less training and also impact many of our soldiers and airmen who rely on their drill checks on a monthly basis to pay their bills,” said Capt. Emerson Marcus, Nevada National Guard public affairs officer.
