WASHINGTON — While the government shutdown is now in its fourth week with no end in sight, Supplemental Security Income and Social Security payments are continuing to go out on schedule.
But a quirk in the calendar means those who get Supplemental Security Income checks won't get one during November; however, that just means they'll get one early, in October.
Supplemental Security Income is a federal program eligible for those who are 65 and older, blind or disabled and have limited financial resources.

November SSI payments are scheduled to go out on Friday, Oct. 31, according to the Social Security Administration benefits calendar . SSI payments are generally made on the first of the month, but that changes when the first is a weekday or
