BENNINGTON – In a time of greater need and uncertainty about federal benefits, Empty Bowls 2025 provides a way to support hungry neighbors in need.
This year's Empty Bowls event will be held on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mount Anthony Union Middle School.
100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Kitchen Cupboard at GBCS, which helped feed 1,500 Bennington area residents last year.
“It’s a soup supper,” said Natalie Basil, GBCS executive director. “We have 38 different organizations donating and about 14 donating bread to the event.”
Tickets are $20. Kids 7 and under are free. Tickets will be available at the door. One can buy them in advance through the GBCS website, at the Bennington Book Shop, Martin's Mini Mart, and Powers Market in North Bennington. GBCS board members
